Privacy policy
What this site collects (very little), who handles it, how long I keep it, and your rights.
1.Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Hansraj Saini, trading as HS, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. HS is one person, so I'm also the person you write to about it: hansrajwork8149@gmail.com.
2.Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers log technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page you asked for. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and I don't use them to identify or profile visitors.
There are no analytics, ad pixels or tracking scripts on this site.
3.The brief form
When you send the brief or contact form, what you type in it reaches me by email: your name, email, company or link, what you need, budget, timeline and message. The email is sent through Resend, an email delivery service, and a copy of the brief is stored in the site's database on Cloudflare so none is lost.
I use it only to reply to you and, if we work together, for that work. I don't add you to a mailing list or share it with anyone else.
4.The chat assistant
The "Ask HS" chat on this site sends the messages you type into it to Cloudflare Workers AI, which runs an open AI model (Mistral Small) to write the answers. Cloudflare doesn't use these messages to train models.
The conversation is kept only in your own browser (in local storage), so it's there if you come back. My server passes messages to Cloudflare Workers AI and back, and doesn't store the chats. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Please don't type passwords, keys or other sensitive details into the chat.
5.Email, calls and WhatsApp
If you email me, message me on WhatsApp or book a call through Cal.com, I see what you send and your contact details. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply to what they handle.
6.Cookies and browser storage
The site doesn't use cookies for tracking. It stores a few small preferences in your browser so the site remembers them, such as whether film sound is on or off, and your chat history. They stay on your device and aren't sent to me.
7.Client code and credentials
If you hire me, the code, data and credentials you share are handled as set out in the Terms of work: least-privilege access, kept confidential, and deleted when the work ends.
8.Why I'm allowed to use it
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, I rely on: your request or our contract, when you send a brief or hire me; legitimate interests, for keeping the site secure and running; and your consent, when you choose to use the chat. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, I process data you give me for the purpose you gave it, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
9.How long I keep it
- Briefs and emails: as long as I need them to reply and for any work we do together, then deleted on request.
- Client code and credentials: deleted when the work ends, as set out in the Terms of work.
- Chat history: in your browser until you clear it. Not kept on my server.
- Server logs: kept by Cloudflare for a limited time under its own policy.
I may need to keep invoices and related records for longer where tax law requires it.
10.Where your data goes
I work from India, and the services above (Cloudflare, Resend and Cal.com) may process data in the United States and other countries. Each of them protects data under its own terms, including the safeguards the GDPR requires for transfers out of the EU and UK.
I don't sell your personal data, and I don't share it for advertising.
11.Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask me to:
- show you the personal data I hold about you
- correct it if it's wrong
- delete it
- stop using it, or object to how I use it
- send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
In the EU and UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR give you these rights, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you the right to access, correct and erase your data and to raise a grievance with me first. In California, the CCPA gives you the right to know, delete and correct, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. I don't sell or share personal data as the CCPA defines it.
To use any of these rights, email hansrajwork8149@gmail.com. I reply within 30 days.
12.Children
This site and my services are for businesses and adults. They aren't directed at anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has sent me personal data, email me and I'll delete it.
13.Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
